Alternative has successfully completed millions of dollars in projects over our 10 years of existence. These projects have ranged from small jobs to schools, large commercial and manufacturing installations, and Health Care. In the past several years, AltMech has been involved with building Grand Rapids’ Medical Mile.
Lemen Holton Cancer Pavilion
This world class cancer research and treatment center is the cornerstone of the Spectrum Health campus in downtown Grand Rapids. Complete with two Linear Accelerators on the first floor that pinpoint high intensity radiation to a precise area as small as one cell, to the research lab on the 7th floor and its ultra clean reverse osmosis water system installed by AltMech, this building is state of the art. Hundreds of fixtures, thousands of feet of piping, and two cafeterias went into completing this project; AltMech was there for every one!
Tower 35 and Tower 25
These mixed use office and patient care buildings continue the development of the "Medical Mile." Multiple clients, multiple build outs, and infills were the rule here.
Helen Devos Womens and Childrens hospital
The crown jewel of the Spectrum Medical Mile! This facility rises above the others as a world class health care facility. Alternative Mechanical is presently involved in a 9 phase remodeling and repurposing of the Interventional Radiation Department at the Helen Devos Children’s Hospital.
The Grand Rapids School Bond proposal
A few years ago Grand Rapids passed a 165 million dollar bond proposal which enabled the school district to build several new schools. Alternative Mechanical was involved with several of them.
