Kevin Fahl

Co-Owner-Vice President

    Kevin Fahl has over 25 years of experience in the piping trades.  He is a licensed Mechanical Contractor and a licensed Plumbing Contractor.  When Kevin was in the field, he was a certified welder by trade and he welded on pharmaceutical, food grade and nuclear power plant installations.  Kevin is the Operations Manager for Alt-Mech as well as Senior Project Manager  

Dick Ortega-Co-Owner President 

  Richard has been a Building Trades Journeyman for over 35 years with skills in Supervision, Pipe Fitting, and Plumbing.  He has served as a Steamfitter, Steam Fitter Examining Board member, an Executive Board Officer, Business Agent, Assistant Business Manager, and Business Manager.  He has served on the Collective bargaining Committees, Legislative Delegate, National Pipe Trades Delegate, and Trustee on the Fringe Benefit fund.  He is co-owner of Alternative Mechanical, and Alternative Medical Supplies. Richard has served on the Board of Directors for Home Repair Service, City of Grand Rapids Smart Zone Advisory Board, Board of Directors for the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the City of Grand Rapids Economic Club, the City of Grand Rapids Police Chief Advisory Committee, the Board of Directors Grandville Avenue Arts and Humanities, and the Advisory Board GRPS Academy of Design and Construction.

Phil Napieralski

Phil Napieralski has worked in the Plumbing/ Mechanical field for 8 years and has been involved in all aspects of Residential, Commercial and Industrial service and new installations. Phil was the on-site Foreman at the Lemon-Holton Cancer Pavilion and the Superintendent at the Kent County Human Services Complex. Phil has also worked as an estimator for Alt-Mech and is currently the companies Service Manager.

Phil is a Journeyman Plumber and is certified in Backflow Prevention testing.
